Desert Willow Print 18x24 inches

We have three Desert Willow trees in our front yard in Arizona. The first winter I arrived there I thought they had died. Their leaves were gone, and all the other trees were green and lush. Later, I found out they are deciduous trees, (and lose their leaves annually). When spring arrived the willow trees’ leaves and beautiful pink blossoms grew back again. I liked the contrast of shapes—the long green leaves against the flowers’ soft contours—so I made this painting. You can find flowers to make your own arrangements. Look for unique shapes and textures for better visual interest.
