One spring we rode our motorcycle up to Bartlett Lake reservoir, and there were fields of orange poppies everywhere. I asked my husband to please pull over so I could take some photos. I knew I would paint from one of them. They are my favorite flower and I loved that there were so many of them popping up in the desert.
