My sister and I saw many vineyards tucked within the mountains during our hikes. Portugal produces many different types of wine. Two of my favorites are Vinho Verde—a slightly fizzy wine, which means “green, or young wine” and is meant to drink early. And, Douro, Port—the most famous of Portuguese wines; it’s so special that the entire region it grows in is a UNESCO world heritage site. Do you like wine? What’s your favorite?
